About the Author
Lily Ann Fenwyn is a storyteller who writes for readers of all ages, from young children discovering the magic of kindness to teens navigating courage, identity, and becoming who they are meant to be.
Before writing stories, Lily Ann served in the United States Marine Corps and later spent many years in technology in the corporate world. These experiences shaped her deep respect for courage, resilience, and protecting what truly matters. While her young adult (YA) novels explore strength and survival in bold and complex ways, her children's books are where gentleness leads, and where courage often looks like patience and compassion.
The Adventures on Sparkly Pond series is inspired by a real place in Virginia, USA, where Lily Ann has spent countless hours watching birds and animals, listening to the wind across the meadow, and imagining the stories unfolding just beneath the surface, in the trees, and on the edges of the pond. Many of the characters in the Sparkly Pond books are inspired by real animals who lived, wandered, or visited Sparkly Pond, each leaving their own mark on its quiet magic.
Lily Ann writes with the belief that kindness is powerful, empathy is learned through stories, and that even in a world that can be loud and hard, there are still places full of wonder, where small lights shine brightly, and everyone carries a light worth sharing.
